Aeolus

Aeolus is the impatient but capable master of the Ravenstein air sanctum, charged with teaching Atticus advanced air control.

Biography

Air instruction

Aeolus introduces himself only long enough to begin testing Atticus, preferring immediate demonstration to ceremony. He asks the youth to reproduce solidified air and supervises the work with the other sanctum leaders, recognizing both Atticus's unusual learning speed and the interference of competing instructors. By the time Atticus returns to form a domain, Aeolus is still eager to claim the lesson and argues for the opportunity in public. (Chapters 594–610, 675, and 811)

Appearance and personality

Aeolus is identified by a mustache he habitually twirls while watching training. He is impatient, competitive, and bluntly enthusiastic, yet his attention remains fixed on instruction rather than status ritual. His banter with the other masters gives his severity a comic edge. Aeolus can compress or solidify air into transparent resistance and teaches the element's advanced control and domain principles.
